Andrew Lloyd Webber fan. I can remember how delighted I was to find karaoke versions of his music were available and how (pleasantly) shocked the audience was the first time I performed it at a local karaoke venue. The interesting part is that I can rarely belt it out without causing my eyes to tear. I finally stopped singing it in public for that reason. This last week when I saw Susan Boyle perform “Memory” from Cats in the Britain’s Got Talent 2009 competition, I cried most of the way through, in great admiration for Susan and what she represents.
