World-renown aviator Charles Lindbergh was also born on February 4.  He was also a prize-winning author, international explorer, inventor, and environmentalist.  Wikipedia has a wealth of information on Lindbergh’s history and achievements.

Life is a culmination of the past, an awareness of the present, an indication of a future beyond knowledge, the quality that gives a touch of divinity to matter.

Happy Birthday to Fran Tarkenton ~ a football player who made a difference in my life!

If football taught me anything about business, it is that you win the game one play at a time.

Happy Birthday to my ballooning friend from Germany, Wilhelm Eimers. I met Willi for the first time at the 1995 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.  He is one of only five pilots to have won the prestigious Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett, the world’s oldest and most prestigious gas balloon race, more than twice. In 1995 that he and co-pilot Bernd Landsmann flew for over 92 hours to win the race. Visit Willi’s website (German) to learn more about his illustrious ballooning career.
